  • Non-cardiac surgery should be performed only if is essential
  • Balloon aortic valvuloplasty or TAVI may be a reasonable therapeutic option before surgery

Low to intermediate risk surgery
  • Surgery can be performed safely

High-risk surgery
  • Further clinical assessment is necessary to assess the need for aortic valve replacement
