- Patient refusal
- Irreversible or end-stage cardiac disease
- Aortic regurgitation (anything more than mild)
- Aortic dissection
- Aortic stents
- Severe aortic atheromatous disease
- Severe peripheral vascular disease

- Severe neurological deficit
- Compromising tachyarrhythmias
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm
- Sepsis
- Arterial tortuosity
- Contraindications to anticoagulation including coagulopathy and HIT
- LVOT obstruction
