- Suggested criteria for intensive care admission include:
- Rapidly evolving rash
- GCS <12 or less or a drop of >2 points (Intubation should be strongly considered in those with a GCS <12)
- Requiring monitoring or specific organ support
- Uncontrolled seizures
- Evidence of severe sepsis
